I got these lovely cloth buttons from my favourite shop on the Haji Lane stretch – Soon Lee when I dropped by on Saturday for their 1st Anniversary celebrations. I had taken part in some contest they put up on their blog previously. It was a pleasant surprise to find that Sharon from the shop completely knows who I am by name too! The whole celebration was really fun, with a super cute ice cream uncle, colourful balloons and a great festive atmosphere. Here, the colourful buttons are pinned onto my staple white Zara shirt for tomorrow, all set to brighten my day!

Today’s a day of staying at home and cramming for the Ophthalmology EOPTs tomorrow morning. I love short postings for their slackness and low expectations on a day to day basis, but not for the tests that come every 2 weeks that we need to cram for. A whole new subject of study (and hence a whole new book to mug) every 2 weeks! Fortunately, there’s the Medicine faculty’s charity screening of The Dark Knight later, and a night out with my buddies to look forward to.

Browsed Designspongeonline.com today when I got back from another day at the Ophthalmo clinics, when I chanced upon this insanely cute picture of birds and various veggies. Reminds me of the bird bracelet I got from Etsy.com some time ago.

I’d love to have some of this wallpaper on the wall which my bed lies against. It would look so nice with the new blinds in Blush which I picked out for my room yesterday. We decided some time ago that my room looked too frumpy and messy with the curtains that are currently up. Those always come down or get stuck when I try to draw the curtains. Worse, before our renovation some years ago, I slept with the constant fear that one night the whole rod would come down on me (it was notorious for randomly dropping from its screwed in position). Time for a change methinks.

Anyone up for the Nike+ Human Race on 31st August? I know I’m going. Training for the Shape run this Sunday has definitely gotten me all psyched up about running.
